Haughton Pipeline - Package 3

Project Description / Overview:

Townsville City Council has engaged the services of CivilPlus Constructions to construct a portion of their Haughton Pipeline Duplication Project (Stage 1). This project aims to provide improve Townsville’s water security and meet the bulk water supply by constructing a new raw water delivery pipeline from the Upper Haughton Irrigation Channel to Toonpan Creek at the head of the Ross River Dam.
CivilPlus has been engaged to provide pipeline construction services for one of the four pipeline construction packages.

Project Features:


1.Installation of 9.0km of DN1800 Glass Reinforced Polymer (GRP) pipe
2.Installation of GRP pipe through Majors Creek northern crossing
3.Installation of concrete bored cast-in piles and steel driven pile liners for thrust restraint structures
4.Installation of concrete thrust restraint and isolation valve pit structures
5.Supply and installation of MSCL and DICL pipe and fittings
6.Supply and installation of air valve and scour valve pit structures
7.Supply and installation of scour protection at creek crossings
