Project Overview / Description
Completion of various pavement repairs and hardstands at MSTA, Many Peaks, Runway Investigation and Lavarack Parade Grounds. Works included removal and replace of pavement, installation of new pavement, sealing of pavements with 2 coat seal and excavation for investigation of runway shoulders completed on night shift at short notice.
Project Features:
- Installation of hardstand area at Many peaks with 2 coat seal
- Repair of pavement failure at MSTA with stabilised pavement and asphalt running course
- Repair of parade grounds surface to provide temporary fix for wet season
- Cutting and excavation of runway shoulder at short notice
- Backfilling and compaction of excavation with Type 2.3 prior to runway reopening at 5.00am
- Projects completed ahead of program and on budget
