Yungaburra Raw Water Intake Replacement

Project Overview / Description

The Tablelands Regional Council has engaged CivilPlus Constructions for the Yungaburra Raw Water Intake Replacement project. This project involves replacing the existing pipeline infrastructure leading to the Yungaburra Pump Station. The contract for this project is on a design and construct basis.

Project Features:

    • Supply and installation of a new 500m water intake line consisting of DN225 PE pipe and 5 x DN100 PE electrical conduits
    • Fabrication and installation of 154 precast concrete ballast blocks (470kg each) to secure the new pipeline to the dam floor
    • Supply and installation of 22 buoys and beacons, including their ballast blocks
    • Supply and installation of a new floating pontoon, including 3 x raw water submersible pumps
    • Supply and installation of a new main switchboard
    • Commissioning of all works associated with the raw water intake pontoon and rising main works
    • Demolition, removal, and disposal of the existing raw water rising main, intake pontoon, anchor blocks, and buoys
