Castle Hill DN50 Watermain Replacement

Project Overview / Description

In order to maintain reliable water supply to the top of Castle Hill, the existing old and deteriorated water main has been proposed to be replaced with a new DN50 stainless steel water main.

The new water main has been designed to be installed via a combination of above ground sections secured via concrete plinths and anchoring into rock and buried sections.

The alignment of the new pipeline starts from the water pump station on Hillside Crescent (near Top City Reservoir) and goes up the side of Castle Hill to the old Panorama House and then onto the top car park area. This water service also fills a small tank that is located to the east of the car park on the top of the Castle Hill as well as the Hamilton’s Tank.
