Mt Stuart Road Blackspot Project
Project Overview / Description
Townsville City Council has engaged CivilPlus Constructions for the Mt Stuart Blackspot project to improve the safety conditions of the Mt Stuart road due to the high number of accidents involving motorcycle/cycling vehicles. This project comprises of replacement of sections of existing guardrail, replacement of culverts and installation of road signage and guide posts along Mt Stuart Road.
Project Features:
- Supply and installation of approximately 1136m of guardrail and terminal ends
- Supply and installation of motorcycle cub rails and terminal protection covers
- Installation of 375 diameter RCP Class 4 culverts including precast headwalls
- Removal and replacement of existing traffic signage and road edge guide posts
- Installation of imported fill materials to low shoulder areas
- Management of traffic during the construction period
