Project Overview / Description

RoadTek engaged CivilPlus Constructions to carry out repair works on Abutment A of the John Row Bridge, north of Ingham. The works include repairs to the abutment A relieving slab, kerbs, and bridge deck, joint sealing, and the construction of new batter protection slabs around the abutment.

During procurement, C+ proposed innovative solutions that reduced costs while meeting project specifications.

Project Features:

    • High profile project on the Bruce Highway over the Herbert River.
    • Very tight working conditions around the narrow bridge and maintaining traffic flow across the bridge.
    • Final relieving slab pour to be completed at night with a full bridge closure in place.
    • Management of traffic during the construction period.
