Victoria Park Sports Field Protective Barricading
Project Overview / Description
CivilPlus Constructions were engaged by the Townsville City Council to implement protective barriers at Victoria Park in South Townsville. In response to a significant influx of parkland damage caused by reckless vehicle activities, particularly hooning, the Council recognises the necessity for a permanent barrier installation to safeguard local parks and sports fields.
This project involved the replacement of existing timber bollards with boulders, and the removal and replacement of maintenance gates.
Project Features:
- Tree protection measures, including maintaining Tree Protection Zone and Structural Root Zones, preserving trees during site works
- Installation of 3 sets of deflection rails
- Installation of 4x TCC gates
- Placement of 391 tonne of boulders
