Project Overview / Description
The works consist of removal of existing guard rail and concrete slab, location of existing HV services, preparation of foundations and construction of 3 pad footings to accommodate two new plate and frame filters in the 367 Cobalt Plant. The project is driven by a tight time frame which is currently being met. All workmanship and materials are in accordance with the relevant Queensland Nickel standards.
Project Features:
- Remove the existing Armco barrier
- Site survey and set out
- Saw cut the existing slab to accommodate the new civil footing detail and slab extension
- Excavations to identify any concealed services
- Complete excavations for the civil footings and the slab extension
- Sub grade preparations
- Forming and reinforcing steel installations (footings, slab extension and nib wall)
- Concrete pours (footings, slab extension and nib wall)
- Backfilling and bitumen road sections reinstatement
