Ross Creek Boat Ramp Upgrade
Project Overview / Description
Department of Transport and Main Roads have engaged the services of CivilPlus Constructions to reconstruct the Ross Creek Boat Ramps. Located at the Coast Guard Ramps on Sir Leslie Thiess Drive in Townsville, the boat ramps and pontoons are an important facility for the local community and well used by fishermen and tourists. Reconstruction works commenced in March 2020 and completion is expected June 2020.
Project Features:
- Reconstruction of Upstream and Downstream Boat Ramps
- Removal and disposal of existing ramps and components
- Manufacture and Installation 292 Precast Boat Ramp Panels
- Supply and installation of cast in situ concrete slabs
- Construction of fully grouted and un-grouted rock shoulders
- Supply and installation of grout mattresses
- Dive work
- Reconstruction and repairs to existing floating walkways
- Miscellaneous civil works including abutment treatments, signage, asphalt works etc.
