Project Overview / Description

CivilPlus is proud to undertake the LBST C7B Tail End Structural Refurbishment project at the Lucinda Bulk Sugar Terminal jetty. This critical infrastructure upgrade addresses the degradation of the jetty’s tail end decking structure, ensuring its operational longevity for years to come. The project involves comprehensive scope of works, including the replacement of deteriorated deck units, in-situ concrete repairs, protective coatings and strengthening measures. With focus on safety, precision and minimal disruption to terminal operations, CivilPlus will delivery innovative engineering solutions to meet stringent load restrictions and environmental standards.

Project Features:

    • Deck Replacement in Quadrants 1 and 3: Complete removal of existing decking followed by the supply and installation of new prestressed reinforced concrete deck units, transversely post-tensioned and topped with a durable asphalt wearing surface.
    • Repairs in Quadrants 2 and 4: Restoring deck undersides with concrete repairs and silane coatings, plus stainless steel reinforcing plates in Quadrant 2, assessed via scaffold access.
    • Pile and Headstock Remediation: Upgrading piles and headstocks across all quadrants and Jetty Bents 1 and 2 with Denso SeaShield 2000FD pile covers and protective coatings, accessed by scaffolds and a pontoon.
    • Cathodic Protection System Continuity: Relocating CP cables during demolition to ensure continuity, then reinstalling with new ties, testing, and documenting the system.
    • Ancillary Infrastructure Upgrades: Installation of guardrails, stainless steel cover plates with anti-slip tape, aluminium walkways, a modified steel platform, and a new security fence.
