Project Overview / Description

Elliot Pump Stations 1 and 2 supply water to customers in the lower Burdekin River region from above the Burdekin River Weir. The Pumpstations Switch Board & Switch Room Building is past its design life and is required to be upgraded. Civil Plus’s portion of work involves Geotechnical Investigations to confirm the foundation design, and Construction of 27 bored piers for the new switch room. Other works involve rerouting approximately 400m of existing services conduits from their existing location into the new building and the supply and installation of precast concrete pits. On completion, the Access Road around the new building will be re-sheeted with type 2.4 gravel.

The works is required to occur while keeping the existing infrastructure operational until a nominated shutdown in June to complete the changeover. The project is expected to finish in July 2026.
