Project Overview / Description

CivilPlus Constructions was engaged to perform dredging in Ross River fronting the Australian Defence Force's Ross Island Barracks in Townsville.  CivilPlus Constructions dredged 4000 m3 of seabed by cutter suction and pumped the spoil to the barracks storage pond by floating delivery pipe. CivilPlus Constructions also neutralised and disposed of the storage pond spoil from the previous project.  Neutralisation required treatment with lime and verification testing.  CivilPlus Constructions completed the works without affecting the barracks or vessel operations.
