Project Overview / Description

CivilPlus Constructions was engaged by Mackay Regional Council to construct the Seagull Street Boat Ramp at Slade Point in North Mackay. The new boat ramp aimed to reduce congestion at other popular launching spots in the Mackay Region and provide better access for the residents of Slade Point and nearby suburbs.

CivilPlus constructed the single-lane boat ramp into McCreadys Creek, while Mackay City Council built 15 car-trailer parking bays and footpaths.

    • Ramp core constructed from 75mm crushed rock
    • Un-grouted rock shoulders
    • Fully grouted rock shoulder and footings
    • Installation of precast anchor beam and boat ramp planks
