Upgrade Tully River Bridge at Intake Weir
Project Overview / Description
Tully Falls Weir is located on the Tully River and situated within the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. CivilPlus is engaged to upgrade the Kareeya Power Station Tully River Intake/Weir Bridge. These works include manufacture, supply, and installation of precast concrete bridge superstructure, modification of existing bridge support Piers and Abutments, re-profiling the existing bridge approaches and guardrail modifications and install new concrete decking on causeway between the bridge sections
Project Features:
- Engage Design and Supply of the Humedeck System and modifications to the Sub Structure
- Design, Supply and Install a Purpose built Gantry Crane for the removal and Installation of the bridge
- Demolition of the existing bridge
- Saw cutting back the existing Piers and Abutments
- Construct modified support on the existing piers
- Install Humedeck units on the bridge
- Concrete Causeway slab between the two bridge sections
- Approach slabs and guardrail
