John Row Bridge Abutment A Repair Works
Project Overview / Description
RoadTek engaged CivilPlus Constructions to carry out repair works on Abutment A of the John Row Bridge, north of Ingham. The works include repairs to the abutment A relieving slab, kerbs, and bridge deck, joint sealing, and the construction of new batter protection slabs around the abutment.
During procurement, CivilPlus proposed innovative solutions that reduced costs while meeting project specifications.
Project Features:
- High profile project on the Bruce Highway over the Herbert River.
- Very tight working conditions around the narrow bridge and maintaining traffic flow across the bridge.
- Final relieving slab pour to be completed at night with a full bridge closure in place.
- Management of traffic during the construction period.
